Freo and the Eagles are battling to have WAs first AFL Womens Team in 2017.
It is expected that one team from WA, South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales will join four clubs from Victoria in the inaugural AFL women’s season.
“It’s really going to be about getting enough girls of that ability to play in a national competition at that top level.”
