A combined side of 23 players from Year 5 Whites and Year 5 Blues competed against 7 other sides in the Year 5 Carnival hosted by Canning Vale at Clifton Park. The side was masterfully coached by Mark Downey with assistance from Ian Minotti, Paul Ovens, Marcus Kuller and Lindsay Marley.
With every team in the competition playing 6 games each, the Bulldogs with 4 wins and 1 loss, but with a very good percentage went into the last game needing a win to finish equal points with Bullcreek. Opening up a 4 goal lead in the first half while kicking with a strong breeze gave us a handy lead and with 2 sealers against the wind early in the second half the game was placed beyond doubt and the Bulldogs ended up winning the game and the overall Carnival on superior percentage.
