To be presented at the 2015 Annual General Meeting.
We have had a great 2015 season at the Booragoon Junior Football Club. There are always things that we can do better, but this season was an excellent one.
2015 Highlights
Players and Teams
- More players than ever before – over 450, making us one of the largest football clubs in the East Fremantle District
- Fifth consecutive year of growth
- More teams than ever before – 14, playing in three separate competitions
- Teams in all Year Groups from Year 11 to Pre-Primary
- Retention of Youth Players was excellent. We’ve kept our teams together, with a large number of players transferring to Booragoon JFC to play football here
- Two new Under 12 Girls teams playing in a Junior Girls Competition – Booragoon was the biggest club in this competition
- Biggest Auskick Program ever – over 170 players, with 100 Pre-Primary players joining in the last two years
- All Youth Teams played finals – four teams made the Top 4, two teams made Grand Finals, Year 8s won a Flag
Financials
A detailed financial report will be provided at the AGM meeting itself, signed by an independent Auditor and the BJFC President on behalf of the Club Committee.
- Revenue (and costs) up 25% over 2014
- We spent nearly every dollar we made – $1,500 surplus
- Significant reserves in the bank primarily to cover renovations
- Excluding costs for Canteen, Events and Sponsorship, all other costs effectively relate to running Football. This means the average cost per player is approximately $210 per year
Other
- New jumpers for all Junior and Youth Players – funded by two-year Sponsorship deals
- Renovations for Karoonda Park were further delayed. Have had many delays and hurdles to clear, still in the running for mid-2016 competition
